Cathedral of the Pines
Missy & Luke
Location, location, location - Choosing your wedding location is key to your successful wedding planning. You can consult with me for ideas or I am happy to simply show up with script in hand. That special location makes for wonderful memories and that is paramount. Please click on the highlighted locations:
Bedford Village Inn, The Shattuck Golf Course,
Zorvino Vineyards,
The Grandview Inn and Resort,
Cathedral of the Pines,
Searles Castle to get some ideas of locations in New Hampshire. I have contacted and have been accepted to officiate at both
Cathedral of the Pines &
Shattuck Golf Course, so if you request information from them, you'll see my name listed as an available Justice of the Peace for their facilities. I performed a wedding at
The Grandview Inn in Jaffrey on Valentine's Day of this year and it was romantic. I was at
Zorvino Vineyards on June 16, 2007 with a couple who I had worked with for months and it was beautiful. The
Atkinson Country Club was the elegant venue for a wedding on June 23, 2007, and the grounds are breathtaking, although not as pretty as the bride that particular day. On 7/7/7, I was in Keene at
Ashuelot Park, and that was a unique and fun experience as well.
St. Francis Chapel on Stone Pond in Marlborough on August 3rd was charming and lovely - a cathartic experience. My husband and I were in
Newburyport, Mass., by the sea, for the wedding of some dear friends on August 18th. The view at
Alyson's Orchard was spectacular on August 27th. On September 20th,
Searles Castle in Windham, a Thursday evening wedding, was an honor to be a part of.
Mt. Monadnock was the setting for an October 13th wedding. October 19th found us at the Topsfield Commons in
Topsfield, Mass., for the wedding of our friends' daughter. October 27th, was Tara and Kevin's day in Swanzey, at their home. In November I performed a ceremony for a couple from Oklahoma. It was a private affair and lovely. Instead of flowers, the bride held a family bible from the 1800s, a treasured heirloom and the bride's ring was a gift from her aunt, who is no longer living. It certainly gave new meaning to "Something old, something new, something borrowed ..." Christmas Eve I performed a remarriage for a couple who had been married for 18 years, were apart for one year and decided they are much happier together than apart. Their children were their witnesses, their daughter read a poem and their son held their rings. What a great way to ring the New Year! In January I was at
The Goddard Inn to officiate at my first civil union. In February I was at the
EF Lane Hotel and the
Chesterfield Inn for two lovely and intimate gatherings. March is always a favorite month to perform weddings, because it's right on the fringe of spring. Starting at the trail head, my husband and I hiked into
Pisgah Park with a couple and performed a lovely ceremony. We came out with beautiful pictures and a sense of what it is to celebrate and witness the beginning of a life together. I was in York Beach, Maine at the
York Harbor Inn, to partake in my best friend, son's wedding along with a Maine Notary. In August, I was back at
Searles Castle in Windham, by the pond, at
The Yard Restaurant in Manchester in May, and at
C.R. Sparks in Bedford in June to officiate for another friend's daughter's wedding. June, July and August found me at a beautiful girls' camp in Fitzwilliam on Laurel Lake,
Cathedral of the Pines,
The Shattuck, Hidden Hills and the
Keene Country Club, which are all wonderful venues. In September, I traveled to Holyoke, Mass., to the
Log Cabin, which was breathtaking with Mt. Tom in the distance. So you see, you can choose from a variety of beautiful locations in New Hampshire or any other state for that matter, big, small, simple, extravagant or somewhere in between. I'm open to most anything. In fact, traveling extensively as a Justice of the Peace has provided a new dimension to my own marriage, because my husband is not only my chauffeur, but will come along to some of my more remote venues to take pictures and provide companionship and support.
2008 promises to be a busy wedding year! My calendar is already filling up!
